Good Shaving :
> Back
Because shaving is a daily gesture, it can be harmful. The daily act of shaving irritates the upper layers of your skin and accelerates skin dehydration. This causes redness and tugging. three steps are necessary to avoid these troubles: clean, shave and soothe.
Trois étapes sont indispensables pour éviter ces désagréments : nettoyer, raser, apaiser.
Clean :
everyday, you must clean the epidermis with facial gel or a soap then rinse and dry.
Recommended products :
LAINO Fat Soap with shea
URIAGE Washing Cream
NOBACTER Soap

Shave :

Electric shaving must be done on a previously cleaned dry skin.
You can use a lotion to prepare and protect skin before before shaving. For some people, electric shaving can favour ingrown hairs. In that case, it is better to choose manual shaving using a special foam for "difficult beards". Never shave against the grain of the beard and always apply an after shave and antiseptic lotion.
For men used to mechanic shaving :
Damp your face with lukewarm water.
Apply a foam on skin, a shaving gel or a shaving cream to ease razor sliding on skin and for a closer cut always shave following the grain of the beard.
Rince skin with cold water.
Pat dry your skin to avoid irritation.
Recommended Products :
HYFAC Shaving Foam
NOBACTER Shaving Cream
NOBACTER Shaving Gel

Soothe :

To avoid discomfort (redness, irritation) after shaving, it is necessary to use a balm, a gel, or a lotion applying it on skin in order to limit shaving irritation.
Recommended products :
NOBACTER After-Shave Balm
URIAGE Thermal Water

How to choose your toothbrush ? :

The hair :
Prefer synthetic and full (nylon) bristles more hygienic than silk. The extremities of the bristles must be rounded.
Brushing effeciency does not depend on bristles hardness. A hard brush may scratch teeth (all the more so since if it is used with an abrasive toothpaste) and damage gums.

For fragile gums use a soft brush.

The head :
The head must be small enough to reach teeth. The head support must be short and rounded to avoid wounding.
The handle :

Volume: big enough to enable a good grip.
Lenght: 17 to 18 cm for adults.
13 to 14 cm for children. It must be large and thick for your child to hold it well.

The best toothbrush must have a relatively small head and synthetic supple or medium bristles and a straight handle large enough for a good handiness.

Brush teeth regularly :
> Back
Dental plaque accumulation favours dental caries and mouth infections.

Their development is reduced by food regime (less sweets, lowly mineralised food...) and by regular teeth hygiene:

- By brushing teeth after each meal during two to three minutes.
- By regularly changing your toothbrush (every two to three months).
- By using a high level fluor toothpaste.

What is the use of the fluor ?

It has a preventive effect because it reduces deminerelization and activates mineralization at the surface of tooth enamel. It also reduces dental plaque formation.
